India unveils DEPA for AI Training, a framework to train models on hospital and bank data without moving it

Launched by MeitY on 30 October and built mainly by iSPIRT, it runs training in sealed computing environments under digital contracts; consultations begin in the coming weeks and a legal framework could take years, Mint reports.
