Isomorphic Labs is reported to be in talks to raise about $5bn at a valuation near $50bn

Bloomberg, citing people familiar, says the round is not final and terms could change; the Alphabet drug-discovery unit raised $2.1bn in May.
Why it matters
Isomorphic Labs was spun out of Google DeepMind in 2021 to turn AlphaFold-style protein structure prediction into drug discovery. A round of about $5bn would be more than double the $2.1bn it raised in May in a round led by Thrive Capital with Alphabet taking part. In October, Bloomberg had reported early talks at a valuation of at least $40bn. Watch for a signed term sheet, the lead investors and any first clinical trial of a drug it designed.
