South Korea's 2027 budget proposal includes no funding for the AI clusters the government plans to designate

Seoul Economic Daily reports the Ministry of Science and ICT requested about 4 billion won for cluster-centred regional AI programmes, but the Ministry of Planning and Budget did not include it; the AI Basic Act that took effect in January allows central and local support for such clusters.
