Microsoft Research open-sources TokenEconomizer, a plugin that cut coding-agent costs 18.4% to 30.9% on SWE-Bench tasks

Built with UC Berkeley, it learns from past sessions in a repository and works with Claude Code, Codex, Copilot CLI and Pi without touching model weights; across 277 tasks savings were 18.4–30.9%, but only 6.4–9.3% on ReposVul audits.
