Nigerian rights group SERAP asks Tinubu to order a data-protection probe of AI-generated photos in the voter register

Vanguard reports SERAP's Oct. 31 letter asks President Tinubu to have the Nigeria Data Protection Commission investigate suspected AI-generated photographs and altered records that INEC acknowledged after displaying the preliminary register on Oct. 9-15, and to determine whether a breach of the 2023 data protection law occurred.
