OpenAI says ChatGPT and Codex will share one token-based usage allowance from December

OpenAI's help centre now says Plus, Pro and Business usage will be measured in tokens across both products, with instant chat excluded, TokenPost reports; the change first surfaced in a checkout notice on 29 October, and OpenAI has given no start day or per-plan allowance.
