ORNL, IBM and AMD launch a quantum error-correction co-design platform pairing 120-qubit Nighthawk with Umbra
The platform co-locates IBM Quantum Nighthawk with ORNL's AMD-powered Umbra system in Poughkeepsie to test decoding and orchestration; it is a facility launch, not a new result, aimed at the DOE target of 100 logical qubits running 100,000 hard operations by late 2028.
