India's telecom regulator proposes mandatory reporting of serious AI incidents by operators

TRAI's draft guidelines, released on 30 October for consultation, would require board-approved AI policies, risk classification and human oversight, with critical- and high-severity AI incidents reported to the regulator and operators accountable even for vendor-supplied AI.
