Korea's Presidential AI committee forms a national superintelligence response task force, with 10 priorities due by June

Chosun Biz says the task force will re-read the Korea AI action plan from a superintelligence perspective, drawing in the science, interior, defence, trade and foreign ministries; the committee also approved an AI legislative framework.
Why it matters
The Presidential Committee on AI met for the third time on 6 November, a year after its launch, and shifted from drafting strategy to running seven project task forces. The superintelligence unit reports directly to the standing vice chair and is told to re-examine the top-level Korea AI action plan for the superintelligence era, with 10 reinforcing tasks due by June next year. A separate cyber-resilience task force is to prepare at least three complex-failure and recovery scenarios for AI data centres by March. The committee also approved an AI legislative framework after 477 AI-related bills in about 29 months. Watch the detailed plans due this month and the task forces' start at month-end.
