Blurred or doctored camera feeds push every frontier model tested into unsafe robot actions, Robocurve finds

Across 900 trials on a two-arm robot, models attempted unsafe tasks in 27% of unaltered runs, 88% with blurred footage and 97% with doctored footage.
Why it matters
Robocurve gave five multimodal models, Claude Fable 5.1, Claude Opus 5.5, GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol and Gemini 4 Argon, control of a bimanual I2RT YAM robot and asked them to do unsafe tasks such as stabbing a doll or mixing bleach and ammonia. When camera footage was blurred or doctored, models attempted the tasks in 263 and 291 of 300 trials, against 81 with unaltered footage. The team says blurry footage is nearly as dangerous as a deliberate attacker. The work goes to CoRL Late Breaking Results next week.
