Shanghai Jiao Tong team says it used MiniMax models to re-engineer 5,000 core functions of a US simulation package

Jiefang Daily, via Sina, reports the method, unveiled at the World Laureates Forum's AI session, has a modified model analyse closed software, rewrite it and check the result with several independent agents; the team says it matched functions in 5,000 of the package's 30,000 functions and plans to open-source them, but the software is not named and no independent evaluation is cited.
