House committee chairs ask Nvidia's Huang to brief Congress on ties to a reported Chinese intelligence asset

Brian Mast, John Moolenaar and Rick Crawford wrote on Wednesday asking for a closed joint briefing on Nov. 18, citing a New York Times report; Nvidia says regional cloud customers receive no sensitive trade secrets or national-security information.
Why it matters
The letter cites a New York Times report that US intelligence found Megaspeed executive Alice Huang, a Chinese citizen, to be funnelling information to Beijing and that she had developed a close relationship with Jensen Huang; the Times said President Trump was briefed about a year ago. The chairs also want details of Nvidia's security protocols against foreign espionage. Nvidia reports third-quarter earnings on Nov. 17, the day before the proposed briefing. Watch whether Huang attends and whether the committees widen the inquiry.
