Why it matters

Kajima is putting FieldAI autonomy kits on ordinary site robots so they can map and patrol without GPS, which Japanese construction sites often lack indoors. The company says the units have already done more than 2,000 patrols, photographs and scans. That is a concrete step from pilot demos to day-to-day use on live jobs. Watch how fast other general contractors copy the kit approach and whether FieldAI expands beyond Japan.
