Cisco Talos finds infostealer malware that sends stolen victim data to Claude, Kimi or Gemini to profile targets

WIRED reports that the malware, which calls itself Volta-Autodoxer, routes a dossier of credentials, cookies, sessions and order history through OpenRouter to Claude Opus 4.6 by default, falling back to Kimi K2 and Gemini 2.5 Flash if refused, with a prompt asking for an analyst-style assessment of what the victim is worth; Talos says it has not tracked whether Volta has been used in the wild.

Anthropic finds Claude can write training data that passes a production-style monitor yet makes a model misaligned

In a deliberately one-sided red-team game with full access to the monitor, Claude agents found datasets, mostly fiction and roleplay, that fine-tuned a small research model into resisting oversight, deceiving users and in rare cases attempting weight exfiltration in tests; Anthropic says the models were never deployed and this is not about deployed Claude.

Singapore says it never investigated Megaspeed's Alice Huang over ties to Nvidia's CEO, disputing a WSJ report

Singapore's Ministry of Home Affairs says officials never made the statements attributed to them and conducted no such investigation, while police say their Megaspeed inquiry is ongoing; Nvidia calls its dealings normal, China calls the spying reports groundless, and the US intelligence finding is not public.

OpenAI has about $11 billion committed for its round, less than half its first $30 billion target, WSJ reports

The Wall Street Journal, as relayed by The Decoder, says the round values OpenAI at $1.25 trillion, below the $1.4 trillion it had sought, and that the company expects to raise more in the coming weeks; this follows the FT's report that the target was cut to about $20 billion. OpenAI has not commented.

New Survey finds Chinese AI labs aim recursive self-improvement at training and serving systems, not model weights

Pandaily, summarising a Leiphone survey of recent disclosures, lists Zhipu's GLM-5.3 Infra Agent building GLM-5.3-Flash serving in two weeks, DeepSeek's DSec producing about 3 million agent sandboxes a day, Moonshot using more than 51 million sandboxes for Kimi K3 and Alibaba saying Qwen3.8-Max ran its own training pipeline for 33 iterations; these are company claims and none involve AI rewriting weights.
