Hg invests with Anthropic in a new European AI transformation company built on Claude

Hg says the independent company will launch later this year and use forward deployed engineers to help European firms adopt AI and build AI-native products; investment terms were not disclosed.
Why it matters
The deal extends Anthropic's move from selling models into delivering AI services, after its August joint venture with Blackstone and Hellman & Friedman, called Ode, according to Private Equity News. Hg, which manages more than $110 billion, says the new firm will also serve businesses across Europe's many languages and regulatory regimes, and The Hindu, citing earlier reports, says it is expected to have hubs in London and Berlin. Watch for its name, leadership and first clients when it formally launches.
