Why it matters

The September executive order told federal agencies to replace artificial intelligence with Super Intelligence, or SI, and the piece tracks how far that has spread. Government sites have switched quietly and an ICE solicitation asks for SI-powered surveillance, but the Pentagon, the FTC and HHS have slipped. Trump criticised the Wall Street Journal on October 27 for not using the term and suggested a rule banning artificial intelligence from government documents. Agencies must draft a legal definition of Super Intelligence by the end of November.
