Anthropic launches Claude smart reports that summarise teams' AI conversations, output and spend for employers

The Claude Enterprise feature reads team transcripts over up to 28 days to group work and costs; Anthropic says the reports should not be used to evaluate individuals or make employment decisions.

Why it matters

Smart reports turn the transcripts companies already hold into management dashboards: workstreams, types of output, friction points and spend per team. That makes them useful for budgeting, but critics quickly framed them as workplace monitoring, and Anthropic itself warns against using them for performance reviews. Mashable reports organisations get up to 10 free reports a month before extra fees apply. The launch comes as Anthropic courts IPO investors with enterprise growth; watch for privacy and labour regulators' reactions, especially in Europe.
