Google acquires Crusoe’s pre-developed Wyoming AI data-center site

Crusoe says Google bought the southeast Wyoming campus after Crusoe finished site selection, approvals and a hybrid power plan with Tallgrass; Google separately outlined a long-term ~$17B Wyoming build.
Why it matters
The handoff separates Crusoe’s origination and de-risking work from Google’s build. Crusoe and Tallgrass had pitched a campus designed around 1.8 GW with expansion room; Google’s Wyoming plan stresses fuel cells with carbon capture, gas and grid power, and air cooling. Crusoe says it still holds more than 6 GW contracted and over 40 GW in its wider pipeline. The deal matters for who captures value when hyperscalers take over prepared AI sites. Watch construction milestones and whether similar pre-developed sites flip to hyperscaler ownership.
