Dutch data protection authority warns debt collectors that AI scoring of debtors risks errors and discrimination

The Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens says a sample of 29 agencies shows growing use of AI to estimate collection odds from credit score, location and payment history and to enrich debtor files from registers and social media, and says key decisions must always involve a human.
