Vultr plans 1 GW of AI compute in India by 2029, starting with a 20 MW Chennai cluster

The US cloud provider told the Times of India it will bring the Chennai cluster online by March 2027, reach 600 MW by 2028 and 1 GW by 2029; sites beyond Chennai are still being scouted.
