The Observer and Tortoise cite current and former staff who say the intelligence and investigations team numbers between 12 and 60 people, a size the paper could not confirm, and recount the Tumbler Ridge shooter's chats being flagged eight months before the February attack; OpenAI said it remains committed to working with law enforcement and its safety work.

New Fysiverse and Fudan University release UniWAM, one model for robot navigation and manipulation, with a tech report

MyDrivers reports the world action model uses a 'manipulation anchor pose' for where a robot base should stop and a dual-stream design sharing one video-and-action backbone, trained on more than 1.5 million trajectories (about 7,500 hours); the team's claim of first place in navigation and mobile-manipulation tests without large-scale robot pretraining has not been independently checked.

Robot Newspaper reports IDC now expects US humanoid revenue to grow about 9% a year instead of 13%, with cumulative 2026-2030 losses above $6bn, because US makers including Figure AI and Apptronik still depend on Chinese motors, actuators, batteries and rare earths; the July 28 FCC listing covers mobile wireless robots over 4.4 lb.
